Terms of Use

株式会社Z空 (ZQoo inc.) provides TrailPing Signal (the “app”). Effective November 1, 2026. By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use.

The license for this app, as obtained from the App Store, is Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms of Use describe what the app does and what it does not do.

This app keeps on the device the place where cellular service returns during a hike, and shows the straight-line distance and direction to that place. You can download a regional map for offline use before you leave.

The app does the following:

  • After a stretch without a signal, saving the place where cellular service returns as a signal pin
  • Keeping manual pins and the track you walked on the device
  • Showing the straight-line distance and direction to the pin you choose
  • Showing a map you have already downloaded where there is no connection

The app does not guarantee the following:

  • Guidance to a pin is a straight line. It does not account for ridges, valleys, or trails.
  • That a signal will return at a place where you had one before.
  • That your location, heading, elevation, and signal status are always accurate.
  • Preventing distress, emergency calls, or rescue. This app is not a substitute for any of these.

While Signal pin or Track is on, the app keeps using your location. Recording continues after you leave the screen. If you quit the app, or revoke Location permission, recording stops. Wi-Fi alone, such as at a mountain hut, does not save a signal pin.

Maps of Japan can be downloaded without a subscription. Downloading and updating regions outside Japan requires an auto-renewable subscription. Price, length, renewal, and cancellation follow the purchase screen and Apple’s standard EULA. After you cancel, overseas maps already on the device keep working. A subscription is required to download a new one or to update one. Only one region is in use at a time. Buying maps outside Japan does not require Location permission.

Map data is from OpenStreetMap contributors.

The app, its text, screens, and icons belong to 株式会社Z空. Map data and the open-source software the app uses belong to their respective rightsholders.

Except where liability cannot be excluded by law, 株式会社Z空 is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the app, or from being unable to use it. Decisions on the mountain are yours.
